Signature colours

The Signature is cut from our own vegetable-tanned hide and hand-dyed with Fiebing's Pro Oil Dye, so the colour goes into the leather rather than sitting on it. Every Signature is engraved — the name is burned into the hide before the dye goes on. Four colours to start with.

  • Saddle Tan

Warm mid tan. The engraving reads clearest on this one.

  • Spanish Brown

Red-brown, closest to a traditional bridle leather.

  • Dark Brown

Near-black in low light, deep chocolate in daylight.

  • Green

Deep field green. The one nobody else on the shelf has.

Hand-dyed means no two straps come out identical. Colours shift a shade with the hide, and every collar darkens as it wears. Treat the names as a guide, not a paint chart.

How the engraving works

On the REGO Signature the laser burns the name straight into the hide. Nothing is added on top, so there's no ink or foil to lift, and the mark darkens gently as the leather ages.

On the Ancol collars the name goes on a round tag instead. Those are aluminium with a hard black anodised surface, and the laser cuts through that layer to expose the bright metal underneath — so the lettering is part of the tag rather than something sitting on it. Nothing to chip, and aluminium won't rust in the rain.

We fit up to 12 characters including spaces on either. Shorter names sit larger. A round tag has less room across its face than a strap does, so if you're near the limit, message us first and we'll tell you straight how it'll look.

Why the Ancol collars get a tag

Those collars are Ancol's, not ours, and we don't put other people's leather through the laser, so the name goes on a round tag on the ring instead. More on the Ancol range.

Sizing

Timberwolf collars are priced by size, since a size 5 uses a good deal more leather than a size 2.

Breed examples are a rough guide only — always measure. Put a soft tape round the base of the neck and check you can fit two fingers between the collar and your dog, as Ancol advise. If you're between two sizes, take the larger one. Sizes 1 and 6 to 9 aren't held in stock — message us and we'll tell you what we can do.
